The division between regional loan limit caps is a sham. Anne Arundel and Calvert counties are the same distance from Washington, DC. Anne Arundel has far more high priced homes than Calvert. Yet some lazy g'ment worker decided that Anne Arundel should have a cap of $560,000 vs the 729,000 cap in Calvert. This is g'ment at its dumbest. I say raise the cap for all or drop it entirely. A tax revolt is on the way. The people will approach DC with pitchforks and torches in hand.

I don't understand the tone of your article. A one-bedroom condo in New York can cost more than a mansion in Omaha. Are middle-america residents who live low cost areas the only ones who should benfit from mortgage securitization? Why suggest this is a handout to the rich? The cost of living is simply much higher in certain parts of the country.
