Mortgage Applications Drop

The most recent survey from the Mortgage Bankers Association showed a roughly 29 percent week-over-week decline in the number of mortgage applications filed. "Refinancing decreased 38 percent following an 82 percent surge a week earlier, and the purchases index dropped to a five-year low," Bloomberg reports.
