First; to the person just above:
I don't understand what or how u misconstrued what the neighbor guy was saying? To me he was stating that whites/americans took Africans from what he thought was a poverty stricken country and brought them to a country of "dreams". As he never said he thought that the way they were treated was proper. I am not trying to deffend his ways of thinking, however it doesn't seem to me that he is trying to be an idiot. Just that he is confused perhaps.
As for Mr. Holyfield, if it is true that his home is being auctioned, maybe he shoulda thought about what would happen when he retired and had to pay for that expensive of a house. Best of wishes to you Mr. Holyfield.

I sure hope EVERYONE here who has said something negative about a person who may or may not be going into foreclosure regardless if at one time he was a millionaire or not, have their own closets clean and spotless.
Hard times hit everyone, it doesn't matter whether your bank account has 7 digits, or 3. When it's your time, there's nothing you can about it. But to belittle a person because maybe he made bad choices, or just wanted too much is way over the limit. We call ourselves a caring people, but we only care if it's affects us directly. Someone said he was rich thats why he doesn't care, very intelligent... and another person said blacks and poor people in general cannot manage money, what a scholar there too. Get a life and get a clue people, when it's all said and done with, you can't and won't be able to take it with you anyways.
Take all the negativity you promptly and proudly display on some dumb blog and use that to help someone who really needs it. Or like someone said before me. Take your stimulus check and buy a clue

I echo you liberty comment and wish you happy driving in your luxury gas guzzling vehicle, which you worked your ass-of so hard to buy to compensate for...whatever. That young lady who's scouting for a sugar daddy would be real pleased to hear from you; and, i'm sure, would welcome the opportunity to ride with you in your luxury car.

And it seriously offends me to be called racist. That was not my goal. But if I were to say anything about blacks and whites and how we made them our slaves. I would say that we did them a favor by bringing them to the States and away from the shack towns in Africa. I mean no pun or harm by saying that. I have a good friend from Africa, well my wife's friend really, and she's told me many horror stories about the country. Seriously wouldn't you rather live in the US. Again no pun intended, just my way of thinking.

At least u got the last part right ! Africa is a continent with over 40 countries with some of the most beautiful places and people on the planet! Yes i been there! A favor - enslaving a people removing them from all they know to be enslaved, tortured raped and murdered. 2 words / names for u as you are a MI native. KId Rock and M&M. What a shining beacon for the priviledged race. We all have our issues every race and class this is an old tune that needs to be replayed when the racists raise there ugly head. As for roco of AK am not sure if he is an African person cultured and raised there or a person of color from America. Well there is a diffrence. If u r the former i must say your opinion is useless and baseless because like most peoples from thirld world countries who come to America they generally come to make money and send back to thier families to help out etc. And as this is a noble cause, stick to what u came here for!!! Spectate until u have educated yourself enough about our society and our culture here in AmeriKKKa. If he is the latter and u r truly "working hard to reverse this seemingly inherent "consumer mentality" of Black people"... as u said. Advice, start with yr family and yr self. Educate them and u as to how to be role models for others. Because your apparent self hatred will not reach or affect anyone positively.

I agree that my opinions may be onesided. I have traveled to and through many states. And I have lived in 3 states. Out of the 3 states, Michigan is the only one that I found cities like what I have been going on about. Denver, Co. wasn't like Mi. at all other than a bad drug trafficing problem. After reading the last post, I myself wonder what the hell I was going on about, short of that Mike guy simply hit a nerve.
I can't see how the posts are plain stupid when it's opinionated and not factual. The opinions are that of a simple mind I guess I'll give you that. As for the "lazy argument", I don't see how that is when to me from what I have seen, it is what I saw? But most importantly I AM NOT RACIST at all. Where or when did I state that colored people or shit (in hind sight)? I have openly apologized many times for coming across as racist! So please forgive my ignorance and understand that when Shannon wrote this:

To the guy who is "black and ashamed" of your race, your race is ashamed of you. If you take pride in the fact that you grew up poor and learned how to save, then you should be proud of your "black" parents at least. People like you and the other racist jerks on here should hang yourself and suck hot rocks in hell. America is the "Land of Opportunity". A person in this country is allowed to do whatever they can imagine within the limits of the law. If you don't want black people spending their money on whatever they want, go out and earn more money than them and therefore they won't have access to it. Yes! I was waiting to see who would respond to Shannon of Ill. Mike C of SC said it all and then some. And to the racist haters, blatant and still hiding; your false theory of racial superiority has been disproved from every facet of life save the propaganda machinations. Lets start with some basic American history. Understand the criminality of the slave institution not as an excuse or crutch but as a sad historical event. No one disproves of the Jews' right to remind the world of the holocoust and the unjustice done. Whats the diffrence here? Also the civil rights movement documents through critical, yet ironically surpressed details released from the freedom of information act; the United States governments goal was to murder the leaders of the civil rights movement and to prevent future leaders from emerging. And this was the stated goal of J.E Hoovers' (F.B.I Director at the time) counter intelligence program. To spy on the civil rights movement, kill the leaders and prevent future leaders from emerging among them. And this became US policy and Hoover is a celebrated US icon!!! To arrive wounded to this point in our history says a lot about the will and determination of a people to survive and persevere if nothing else. Lets not 4get blacks were brought to these lands for enslavement and nothing else. The emergence against such odds is at least admirable. As for Holyfield, as someone living in Atl in the early to mid 90's when he bought the house i remember reading the article in the AJC and seeing the pictures of the high ceilings etc. I remeber thinking, this makes no sense; now 12 or 13 years later i am still saying, "this makes no sense".
