ForeclosureRadar.com founder and CEO Sean O'Toole says there are distinct life tragedies—or "D's", as he calls them—that most often lead to the repossession of a home.

These "D's," he told the Los Angeles Times, are:

  1. Death
  2. Disease
  3. Divorce
  4. Drugs
  5. Denial

But at the time I was explaining why properties still went to foreclosure when homes were selling quickly and anyone with a pulse could get a loan. The 5 d's essentially create the "base rate" of foreclosure that occur no matter what is happening in the housing market or the economy as a whole. They were not meant to explain the current levels of foreclosure activity.

Best Regards,

Sean O'Toole

Desist. You know "laid off" "fired". Mr. O'Toole must be on the same tour that Barbra Bush is. Hey, it's not the economy, it's the war sucking the money out of the economy. I work doing inspections for the mortgage companys, I see it every day.
