Yes, they did a stupid thing. Haven't we all been guilty at one time in our lives of doing something we and or others considered foolish or down right stupid? It's just that their foolishness was "televised". I can't judge them. Boy I'm greatful some of the stupid things I've done in my life weren't televised! They are definitely paying for their foolishness now. Lost their half millioin $ home, went bankrupt, judged by all of society (who I'm SURE never sinned in their entire life). They got what they deserved but I think now enough is enough. I pray they can start over with new wisdom and get their lives put back together. I am so glad Jesus doesnt hold us unforgivenly accountable for all our stupid mistakes. I cant help but think of the story in the bible of the prodigal son who squandered his entire inheritence. That man returned to his father NOT expecting forgiveness but to WORK for him and what did his father do? Welcomed him with great joy because his son was "lost" and now was "found." My whole point is they got "LOST" and caught up in the sensation and their new found wealth. They made poor and even stupid decisions. Imagine not even being able to afford to have your septic fixed and then suddenly you have a half million dollar home and a quarter million in cash! I just hope now they can learn from their mistakes and get on with their life, make their own way in a lifestyle they can maintain and I most of all hope people forgive them.

The media has provided insight into some of these "show" families whose homes have met foreclosure. They take out loans and use the house as collateral? What? These home recipients also got 25 years worth of free tax money. It is a shame that all those people worked on the house and the family chose to be greedy with their finances. It is the true American to make dumb mistakes and blame everybody else but themselves. It is disgusting, especially to people who have to work for everything and get little back, like the people we thought the home recipients were (before the free home). Don't cry foul to the show. I can see that the utility bills may be high for a big house, but how do you go to $450,000 loans? Shameful. Is the show going to bail them out again? Oh wait, lets let Obama do that while the hard working people of this society bail them out. Why be a responsible individual when you can blame others and get relief from the government? Life is expensive, plan accordingly.

Yea you should know about getting stuff given to you and being a greedy bastard...explain what you did to YOUR kids. It was all about YOU all the time while you bought high price crap for yourself and let your kids run around with holes in their clothes. Did you enjoy using their support money for your new car and college? Yea I thought so.

Free money is rarely a blessing. If you work for it, it has value

and you respect it and usually tend to be more responcible. If its given to you it has no value therefore it is easy to gamble with it. The only money that ever helped me and my struggling family came from the sweet of my brow.

Give em fish, cripple them and their children for life by teaching dependancy. Don't give them a pole but teach them how to make one and you will endow them and their children with the most valuable gift you can give your children, The ability to be SELF SUFFICENT. Free stuff is poison. You gotta give more than you take or you'll always want more, never have enough, and never be satisfied. Eternally thirsty.

I have a family member who needs a transplant. Individuals like you are so sad. You are making alot of efforts to cloud the issue here. The effort is to help others. What is your problem. You are starting to cause all sorts of unnecessary confusion for no reason. Did you take the time to find out how this help would come about? Did anyone ask you for anything such as money or what ever. You simple minded woman you act as though someone should always stay on their back if they are down. Is it wrong to try to bring joy to others? You are just unbelieveable.May God bless you in all the destruction you are trying to create. Did you read the article you posted. Call Extreme Makeover yourself there were no taxes paid for 25 years. I truly believe God has his hand on this family so you just continue to be a trail blazer of destruction.

Is this family having a fundraiser to help raise the money to get their home back? I received a call from a woman today who lives in Georgia stating that the Harper Family is having a fundraiser for transplant patients to provide them with money to assist with medical expenses.

I was suspicious so I looked the Harper Family up online and found this article.
