I agree with Tammy of IN. Donald should have spent that money helping several middle class families who recently lost their jobs from the Chevy Dealership lay-offs. In fact, many of them didn't even receive their last pay check. Ed mismanaged his money -credit card debt, payouts to ex-wives and getting his kid out of trouble.

What Mr.Trump did for Ed Mc Mahon was magnificient,however,it would have been a lot more Magnificient in my opinion,if he had just kept it to himself and Mc Mahon,If it is an"HONOR" to do something for someone,why broadcast it throughout the world?
A lot of People do good things for others as well as for animals, but they do not notify the whole universe so they can be "broadcast" as a savior.
This does not diminish what Mr.Trump did,it just hightens (SELLS)himself more through the Media.
This is one reason why he is an accomplished "salesman",which most celebrities,movie stars,etc. are also.

What Donald Trump has done for Ed McMahon shows just how great this man(Mr. Trump) is. I'm sure it it will work out good for Mr.Trump,but that's beside the point.Where was Johnny Carson? Why didn't he help?
