I believe all should stand up together and fight for it. If something like this would have happen to richy, wealthy than case would have being not even filled.

Government cant take away livelihood of real american's.

We build this country by paying proper taxes they should look at his background. he does not have any criminal records nothing than why such harsh decision for small offesence.

His value is more than $50.

We should make government reliaze where they should focus.

I guess as this has became media case, so government will also try to maintian his status.

But if we all fight than we can win. As America is mabe by people and not by government.

Note this could happen to anyone, you or me if we togehter does not fight for it.

If we the people STOP allowing them to have thist type of power, then all this BS will end. NOT UNTIL.

Thats you, Thats me. Thats all americans. since WHEN can they take your HOME for a parking ticket?

I have heard about a lot of injustices, but this one ranks at the top.

no doubt they dont CARE how much they get, or if they even sell it for the amount owed to cover their butts legally. They DONT CARE if it is sold at market value or lower or higher.

MASS CIVIL DISOBEDIANCE that is THE ONLY thing that will work in this case. when they jump you STAY PUT!

Look up - taxes on methane, cows, pigs, YOU AND ME (Carbon Taxes) that OUR government is about to deploy on all of us? what if we dont pay those? home taken from us even if it is PIAD OFF?!

pure injustice.

Look up th emeaning of FASCISM - it is the merging of corperatism with government. WE ARE THERE!

CHANGE IT. cause i doubt Obama will.

I can't believe my this. Clearly this is policies of power hungry predators in our lower level political positions as well. This man should fight them to the end and sue them. Bringing the story out in the open should expose these people. I want to know what happened.

This is riciculous this is another government agency always after a good person and taking their lively hood over a 50.00 parking ticket it is an outrage. there are more important duties for the government to take care of like drug dealers and criminal what justifies forclosing on a house over a 50.00 ticket what happened to sympathy and good american values It sounds like the communtiy should come together and help this person out.

After reading this article I was left speechless it will take a lot of praying hoping mankind will stop placing so much injustices on each other. Future generations don't have a chance for a decent quality of life. The bible says man cannot direct his own steps because of selfishness, greed, and a lack of compassion for his fellow man. This situation is taking the law to an extreme that makes no sense. Hoping someone make the right decision for this citizen of Milwaukee to pay the parking ticket of $50.00.

The City may be proud of its $2,600 loansharking gains, but the rest of the country has lost it's taste for the city. Why would anyone ever go there? You might get a $50 parking ticket that the city will loanshark you out of house and home! Under what authority (moral or otherwise) could the City increase the fine of one of its own citizens from $50 to $2,600 in 4 years? With inflation, sure $60 makes sense, and maybe for collection efforts, another $100 gets added, but $2,600? And a judge agrees!!! They are due their money, but they are NOT due $2,600. I'm sure some stupid bureaucrat can give you the logic - but no one in a caring city could or would. Aren't they morally embarassed in front of the rest of the nation? Are they really serving their city? Totalitarian citys like Milwaukee need to be avoided. They are not American. Milwaukee is now in the class that fits in with Connecticut who refused a kid to sell worms on the streetcorner becasue he didn't have a permit, or the city in Oregon that took the children from multiple families because they were too poor to mount a defense against an errant cop that locked them up strictly becasue of a childs (false) accusations, or Bluefield West Virginia that charged a college student $750 to clear a 3 month late $15 sewer bill. Are these people just stupid, spiritual duds, or corrupt. In any event, they are a blight on our society.

It seems to me that this is another example of a government’s legal system that has gotten way out of control. Although this argument is getting old it still applies: Why is the city not spending its citizen’s hard earned taxes on catching real criminals instead of wasting it on trying to seize a person’s home for a fine that was originally $50.00? It seems obvious that the government is no longer working for the people and is in the process of becoming a tyrannical rule. As for the argument for integrities sake, how many people have had the government foreclosed on their homes because they didn’t pay a parking ticket? I agree that not paying a ticket is wrong, but it does not justify such an extreme action. And to compare it to integrity is like comparing apples with oranges. Don’t they teach logic in college anymore? Whoever is arguing the cities case is arguing in fallacies, from a stand point in ignorance.

"would destroy the integrity of the foreclosure process"

What the hell "integrity" are you talking about? A city that will take a parking ticket on an old man from $50 to $2600 in four years is worse than a payday lender. Worse than a loan shark. Are there no voters with any sense up there?

And he parked it on private property in his parents' driveway to begin with?
