Maybe the banking and financial industry had a hand in this mess, but the government - republican and democrat were the ones who pushed lenders into making these subprime loans for political reasons. The government is equally at fault here.

Bravo! Fianally someone with the guts to tell the truth! Of course it is showing the extreme of all sides but Americans are smart! We know how this happened and Nancy Pelosi can shake her deformed hands at the American people but the truth will come out!

I can't wait to see the SNL "skit" about me & Teddy .You will just DIE laughing -especially the part where I pass from asphxiation -waiting in vain for Teddy to save me after breathing that little pocket of stale air in his cars cabin footwell because he drove off the bridge from Chappaquiddick. You'll be on the floor when the police scuba diver finds me in a state of rigor mortis & see the look on the coroners face when he doesn't find any water in my lungs.God I hope Lorne has his best writers & Tina to do me justice!

Well...shooting a few excutives won't solve this mess. I do think, however, that all those in Congress who have voted for this stupid Bail Out should "NOT" be reelected! That goes for both parties. I love my stanchly conservative Rep but he's not getting my vote this year. Instead of voting for Rep Adam Putnam this year like all others. I'm going to vote for Mccain and the county Sheriff, and that's about it. Adam can sink or swim this election cycle without any help from me.

He bit the sour apple known as the "Bail Out Bill" and now Adam can go find some tea leaves to go sew with Eve as far as I care. These people in Congress need to learn once and for all were not going to rubber stamp thier reelections anymore. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. I thought Republicans were suppose to think that "Less" Goverment was the "Golden" rule, but I guess they threw that out when they decided to continue the misguided war we still find ourselves in. We just might not win the White House this year because of this dumb war, and for what? To give people who don't want demorcacy...Demorcacy! Islam doesn't care about minority rights....which a true demorcacy is suppose to do. Heck...most Christians have been forced to leave Iraq under the Bush rule. Christian Churches had more freedom under Pres Saddam Hussian, and that my friends is a hard truth to bear, but no body said truth was easy to swallow. The Truth is we don't need this War....We don't need 90% of this Congress, and we don't need to spend all our peoples money on a dumb Bail Out that only rewards theives! Try swallowing that dear people!

Golden West was not the problem. World savings was a portfolio lender and did not sell their loans. The Sandlers should sue.

Get your facts right.

Parody and satire can be funnier and more entertaining, and without the shock tactics used by many SNL skits. Boldness is one thing - rude and abusive is another.

It is nice to se a skit that at aleast is directed at the misdeeds of both sides of the aisle. They are both responsible in some fashion. The mainstream media has also had a role in not reporting the events of the past several years in the area of subprime loans. This is not new but should have been news. For our government to say they did not see it coming is sad. It is my opinion that Barney Frank and Chris Dodd and others did a major diservice to those they claim to represent, the disadvantaged. In reality they were looking out for their personal interests which included not the least of which was getting re-elected. I believe they represent the qualities we all detest in Washington, greed and deception. Take the time to Google their (and other politicians) connections to Fannie and Freddie and I think you will know who needs to be in office in January. We have the tools to make an informed decision, but most of us don't put forth the effort. We will get what we deserve and I believe we deserve the current crisis as a society. Too much greed and complacency from the top to the bottom including alot of individual citizens. We need to do our homework.
