Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson on Charlie Rose

Anything this man says, I believe the opposite.

The Treasury, along with many others (Greenspan, Cox, Dodd, Barney, Congress, the White House, lenders, and the list goes on...) are responsible for this mess... Yet, here we are empowering the very same people and institutions that got us in this mess in the first place to get us out. And once again, it's all about the corporations, which are in the politicians pockets. The good ole boys club!

To think that this bailout was, according to our fearless leaders, needed to "assist mainstream, so banks could refinance some of these bad mortgages to lower fixed rates and keep people in their homes" and "unfreeze the credit markets so that small businesses could meet their payroll and take loans". I believe this was what was fed to the American Public after the outcry from over 90% of Americans to NOT use our tax money.

Where did we hear anything about healthy banks using our taxpayer money to expand their businesses??? Once again, the American Public is being put in the 'back of the line' and the corporations are making out like fat rats on taxpayer's money. I don't see Paulson suggesting that the small businesses be bailed out... only his cronies, the banks.

Fire Paulson and the rest of the bunch! I don't trust ANY of them!
