I have heard the extended the $8,000 tax credit until Sept 30. What about the contract? is the contract extended too? and what month did it extend? because I have signed a contract on Aug 5th and closed on Sept 27th. Am I illegible for that 8,000 tax credit? I could really use that $8,000 to do work around and in the house.

I have signed my sales contract since April 15, 2010 and until now I have not been able to close, meaning that I lost the opportunity to get the relief of the $8000 rebate. I been affected with the bureaucracy of the bank system and the incompentece of the JP Chase Morgan employees also with the risk that the seller will forfeit my deposit due to exceed of time. There is any way that I could make them to pay for this lost? I am so frustated.

I have rented a home since 2001 and bought the same home in December of 2009. Is there a law that says I can't claim the $8,000.00 tax credit since I live in the house but rented for all those years?

I heard on the news that they might extend the dead line to Sept. 1rst. Is that true?

I have been trying to buy a house since Dec 09 and have come very close. I really have almost decided not to buy because the tax credit expired. Please extend the program and back date it for people like me who have been trying to buy for a long time....

IT WOULD REALLY NICE IF THEY WOULD EXTEND THE EXPIRATION DATE. I WAS WORKING WITH A LOAN OFFICER WHO I BELIEVE HAD TAKE ON MORE THAN SHE COULD HANDLE. WHICH MEANS MYSELF AS WELL AS SOME OTHERS THAT I KNOW WAS WORKING WITH HER MISSED THE CUT OFF DATE. I WOULD BE A FIRST TIME HOME BUYER AND THAT TAX CREDIT WAS HELP ME OUT.
