WE AS AMERICANS ARE GETTING TIRED OF SUCH THINGS AS THE GOVDERMENT TRADING IN SUCH A MATTER. LOOK OUT DEMOCRATES, WE ARE GOING TO KICK BUTTS. IF YOU AS DEMOCRATES OR ANYONE WANTING OR ALOWING OUR JOBS TO GO OUT OF OUT OUR COUNTRY YOU HAVE ARE GOING TO BE SURPISED AT WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT. THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU SIGN ANOTHER BILL.

BRENDA GRAHAM of OH 9:33AM February 09, 2010

You missed the point. The RNC and DNC are both taking money directly from the Chines government. Our politicians exchanged open/ unfair trade policies for money with the Chinese Government. This is treason. Corporations couldn't move the jobs without Congress and the President passing the trade policies that are now in place. Remember Ross Perot and the "big sucking sound" of jobs leaving the USA? Remember his charts and graphs? And that was only the warning about NAFTA. Its only gotten worse. There will not be a recovery for the middle class until trade policy is fixed (period). Trade policy won't be fixed until corrupt policians start getting their just rewards (the reward one deserves for treason).

In response to David's post on Jan 28, 2010 13:59:17 PM "Trade with China is the problem." Yes, China now has the jobs that US workers once had. When US workers had those jobs, the money they earned stayed in the US economy and we all benefited from this. The question is how did these jobs get to China? Did China hold a gun to the heads of US corporations and tell them give us your jobs or else? No, our own Americans (corporations, business men, and the US Senate and House) sent those jobs or allowed these jobs to go to China--all with the goal of making more profit. You would think that with the cheap labor in China that the goods produced there would be a lot cheaper than they were 10 years ago. I have not seen any price reduction on the goods made in China; in fact, the prices have gone up. The question is who is pocketing all this excess profit?

In addition, the decision makers and their cronies who made or who went along with the decision to permit American jobs to go China still have their well paying jobs and are secure while the American worker is suffering. What dumb idiots--they are now making the goods in China, sending it back for the US public to buy, however, without a paying job the public does not have the money to buy theses goods.

For all those companies who have moved out of the US for cheaper wages, put an import fee on those products so that the companies will either move back to the states and hire American workers or their products will not have a market in the US.

Mtlee of MT 1:59PM January 28, 2010

Put a tariff on all goods coming from China and manufacturing will rebound in the USA. Manufacturing means jobs, jobs mean home purchases, and car purchases..... Why are the DNC and the RNC both taking money from the Chinese Government? What is suppossed to happen to traitors?

David Giles of MI 12:07PM January 28, 2010

If houses and cars and many other things in this country were priced at what their actual physical value was then we would not be here. It is a game that is played by the politicians on both sides of the isle. You can say what you want about George Bush and/or Barack Obama but they both have had good ideas. They get to Washington and spend 80% of their time fighting to get anything done because the old (who have been in office forever) fatcat congressmen/women and Senators act like they are playing a football game and it is the Republicans vs Democrats or the other way around and all they care about is winning the game so they can say they won. They don't give a rats behind about middle class american and what any of us are going through. They are rich, they have a golden health care, expense account, job, office, staff and retirement compliments of all of us out here breaking our backs to make a living and paying taxes without a say in how they spend the money. Ahhhh isn't that what they call taxation without representation???? Wake up America! Stop listening to all this crap on TV from all these people running for office that think it is nothing more than a popularity contest. They have no morals! They are going to get your vote if they have to lie, cheat and steal to do it and in many cases they already do. I say get rid of the two party system, limit campaign spending per candidate to $5 Mil (all money put into a pool that they can take this much out of) and the media needs to SHUTUP!!!! Until this happens and people start using their brains to really find out about who they are voting for and demand they do the job they are being paid for like we average Americans then we are going to continue down the slippery slope of plummeting housing values, lost jobs, inadequate health care, education, services and much more. Our infrastructure is a disaster....be prepared....when the power grid goes down and the bridges start falling, etc., what are you going to do? Time we speak up now to those congressmen/women and senators we hired and tell them...Do your job or your out!

Replying to 'Barrock Obama of OH': Let's recap, because obviously you, along with a lot of people lately, are up in arms about the economy's slow recovery from the brink of disaster. For one, the economy did begin it's collapse BEFORE Obama took office. Does Sept. of '08 ring a bell? If I remember correctly that is roughly FOUR months before Obama took over the oval office. It began it's collapse under G.W.Bush, remember? I believe Obama is doing as good a job as anyone considering the circumstances and the condition of the economy at the start of his term. I understand people are upset about the economy's slow recovery and high unemployment rate but for them to "blame" Obama because he can not magically correct this system that has been broken down for a long time overnight is foolish. No one would be able to do that. Look at how long for America to come out of the Great Depression. If you want to 'blame' anybody, blame our past presidents and their administrations going back to the 80's. Second, lets really look at who was the master minds behind the 'massive deregulation' of the financial markets. Yes, Freddie Mae & Freddie Mac have had their fair share of the blame for issuing loans that no one could afford but also who was in charge of regulating the markets since the 1980's. Uhm......largely Republicans. That great system of Reaganomics, oh......the smaller the gov't, the better........less regulation.....less regulation......the markets will correct themselves BS. I don't disagree with the concept of a small gov't but there needs to be gov't oversight whether the Teabaggers like it or not because greedy people will always abuse the system; giving a big middle finger to the rest of us. As for these liberals not having a 'real job' and that they are our 'saviors'. Wow.....again obviously you have amnesia because you just described G.W.Bush. What a crap shack he was (there is your worst president ever). These are two aspects he was most fond of......coasting through life on his name and being God's self-proclaimed right-hand man. Speaking of Egos, AGAIN........obviously you have completely forgotten the first 10 years of the new century. You know, that disgrace of an Administration. The Bush Administration. Lastly, Hussain really.....or do you mean Hussein. If you're going to get a dig in, at least get the correct name. Starting off your argument with such nonsense as 'Hussein' is a D-bag statement. You or anyone else who uses such slander should be embarrassed. Not only does it.....not matter, but shows lack of intelligence. If you don't like Obama's policies, ok.......that is your opinion. You are entitled to that but using smear to try to vilify another, demonstrates absolutely zero integrity on your behalf. Yet again.......so goes the extreme right.

Where I live, many of the foreclosed homes are due to people and corporations who got all they could out of the house (money wise) when the getting was easy and are now upside down.

They are willingly walking away. They move into one of their other homes and/or simply write it off as a loss.

The homes are not moving because mortgages are so difficult to get. There are numerous people that may not have an A+ credit rating for various reasons, or who may not have a large down paymentbut who could easily pay a mortgage payment that is the same or less than what they currently pay in rent.

Rentals are up for good reason.

Miami Resident of FL 7:47PM January 27, 2010

If I remember right the people heading up hussain obama economic policy use to head up Freddie Mae & Freddie Mac. They claimed big bonuses and then left not only their agencies but the taxpayers holding the bag over this desire to put everyone in a home (even if they can't afford it). When they knew along that what they were doing was tanking the market. Now they are calling the shots for economic policy, scarey isn't it.

It will get worse when as suggested earlier where people will be "strategic" in walking on homes.

One would think that with the results in Mass. that the current administration would wake up. Its not their country - Oh the Egos. Most of these liberals have never had a real job and don't know anything about the real world. They think they are a special group and our savior. I actually heard Hussain Obama say on the radio that none of this stuff is his fault ... what an Ego. Man up coward and do what the people want. He will be viewed as a worse president than the peanut farmer when its all said and done
