Why does the Dem & Rep parties not allow 3rd party candidates like Nader (best candidate for the job, not pro-corporations but pro-people- specifically, the common man) to debate in this "free, democratic, country"?

Why are the low/middle classes silent?..WHy is the media so biased in general..Never mind Gwen's book and a completely FAKE debate of which rules are dictated by the 2 corporate parties!..

Unbiased my foot!..

My Dear Ms. Ifill,

When one accepts the position to moderate a vice presidential debate, one is accountable for the facts. When Senator Biden misstated (lied) about Senator McCain's voting record, and took liberty with other unproven and contested topics, you should have made a point in case.

If proponents are allowed to blatantly misrepresent facts and stretch theories, then the debate is worthless, as it propagates dishonesty.

Shame on you, Gwen. This is not reporting the news, and is plain and simple propaganda, i.e., facts interwoven with lies that you authenticated by saying nothing. As such, your integrity comes into question.

Can we count on the same misrepresentations of fact in your upcoming book?

Hey! My fellow Christ warriors and citizens of America

This is the Governor from the mighty state of Alaska

Here we proudly guard our critical border against Putin

And bravely we train by murdering wolves by aerial hunting

I am the darn good mayor of Wassila turned State Governor

By golly only I can be an awesome trophy vice with glamour

For I'm the charmer who can disarm the heads of states

Just for my hug, they will sign away their sovereign stakes..

I reward one fifty Dollars for a butchered bloody wolf paw

And save your tax dollars by 'Slap the rape victims fee' Law

I enforce firing Chiefs that defy my command to rid pesky relatives

Sweet grudge to hold with folks who dare not to be supportive.

I blather same talking points to the giddy faithful

Tina and Amy agree when goofy, I am just adorable

My shrill voice and pitch thrill our conservative throng

To my base the redundant rhetoric rivet like a mighty Gong.

Beware I am Sarah Barracuda the beauty queen

Will unleash my traits as patron of religious right reign

Be prepared to be Saved by my rule and ready for rapture..

Trust me, all the riches, oil and wealth we shall capture

Aah Don't say Thanks No thanks, join me on that Bridge to nowhere..

Believers and joe 6 packs, there is so much spoils and loot to share.

If Jo Biden in debate plays the games of Political Gotcha

I will slither unscathed with my favorite " I'll get back to-Yah!!

Gwen Ifill should not be the moderator of the VP debate. Her personal stake, interest, and clear preference in Obama winning the Presidential debate is a clear and irrefutable bias. Ifill should --- for the good of the country, and the integrity of the debate ---step aside. The fact that the focus has switched from the actual debate and candidates, to the moderator is a clear indication that something is wrong. The moderator should never be the focus... Ms. Ifill, do the right thing for the trustworthiness of the process, and step aside.

Gwen Ifill has a book coming in Jan. 20009 which more than like have something good about Senator Obama.(It about the rise of the black men in American) This was a very bad pick, who every selected the monitor!!!! Since her book(hope it get her point across) but to put her in charge of directing questions to candidates for vice-preidential is wrong!!!!

OBAMA MEDIA BIAS ... NOW, OBAMA DEBATE BIAS !!!

The nation already is skeptical about the fairness and objectivity of the mainstream media regarding election coverage ... so, why in the world is Gwen Ifill the debate moderator, when she is writing a book about Obama ... especially since her book sales would increase if Obama/Biden win? The moderator in a debate ... especially one of this importance and magnitude ... should be seen as completely fair, objective and above reproach. This is a terrible choice, and could easily have been remedied by choosing from hundreds of other more objective potential moderators. I can imagine the outcry if Michelle Malkin, or Ann Coulter was chosen as the moderator for the first Vice Presidential debate between Sarah Palin and Joe Biden. FURTHER MORE ... Everyone knows that Roland Martin is in the tank for Obama ... and regarding his call for Palin to either 'put up, or shut up' ... for millions of Americans, we still feel that Obama never adequately explained why he chose to spend TWENTY YEARS, yes TWENTY YEARS, in Jeremiah Wright's anti-American, racist, black liberation church, which gave a life time achievement award to Louis Farrakhan, and Obama only quit the church due to public outrage and personal ambition.

I can't believe I see so many articles asking Ms Ifill to not moderate tomorrow..Of all the networks and any of the news sources out there on US television, Lehrer and Iffill are among the most unbiased and honest out there..I can't list everyone else on PBS either!..PBS is the best tv out there with the best journalists..It's just a last minute attempt of the GOP folks to make an issue out of nothing..I'm not a Democrat by any means and I still would go with Ifill..

I hope Gwen Ifill discloses that she has a book on Obama scheduled to come out on inauguration day. What a conflict of interest that is!

Here's hoping that the debate forces candidates to disclose their breadth of knowledge and their ability to think.

A debate in which candidates are allowed to get by with rehearsed answers to anticipated questions does not give us the information we need to make an intelligent choice. The presidency is not a scripted event. Those who are only prepared for it by virtue of a couple of memorized statements per issue will fail.

What we need are more questions like "How does Russia's proximity to Alaska give you foreign policy experience?" The irrelevant babbling for a minute tells more about the candidate than an hour of carefully prepared responses.

We'd counting on Gwen!
