I understand the mentality that there is no reason to have to start branding ourselves now. I mean yes, our parents and grandparents got along just fine with out it. ( At least the online part of it.) But, that's like saying we shouldn't use debit cards because checks work so well. We live in a more advance time. The harder we fight it the easy it is for others to get ahead. One way I like to show others my personal brand is by using a website called www.persoanvita.com. There, you can build your own personal brand (reputation) with others validating your work. It builds the credibility you need in a time of advanced networking.

Key flaw in Tahmincioglu's argument is that her relatives didn't have a brand. Not so. Everyone has a brand. It's also known as their reputation. Whether or not one puts forth effort to manage their personal brand, we all have one.
