Oh, like the new Czars for Technology and IT?

The guy had a questionable State job wher papers years ago reported that he made a lot of money for the department head, raising lots of questions.

His "success" was taking taxpayer money to provide Internet to rural areas. A complete disaster when you consider the price was dozens of times higher than a private company that offerd it just a few months later. But, his company once again made huge profits "can you spell conflict of interest?".

The praise is that he (and other IT appointments) is a 2nd generation India immigrant.

Then... they outsource all these jobs to India (like all of Citi Group) after they get taxpayer bailout!

Well - Mel Brooks said it best: "It is good to be King"

These positions are nothing but political pork and payoff.

I am sorry to have voted for him.

The article gives 7 great tips on potentially landing one of the many jobs that are being created by the coming new presidential administration. However, it fails to mention the number one TIP that's more important than any of the others. What is that you ask? Career seekers whether in government or the private sector, Learn Your Basic Employee Rights, first!

It is incredible how lacking in "workplace readiness" job seekers and employees are. For example, you follow these "7 excellent job interview preparation tips and get the job. Then several days, weeks or months down the road you find your particular workplace to be a hotbed of discrimination, unfair employee performance evaluations, bullying, harassment and more aimed right at you!!

You are caught in the middle and have no clue how to navigate the process of protecting your basic employee rights in the workplace. Every career seeker whether government or not should invest time in education and awareness of his or her basic employee rights before seeking and accepting employment. Interview preparation is important to getting a job. Learning Your Basic Employee Rights is critical to keeping the job!
