THE SENATORS ARE GETTING PAYCHECKS....THE STATE REPS ARE GETTING PAYCHECKS...THEY DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT PAYING THEIR BILLS, FEEDING THEIR FAMILIES. WE NEED HELP NOW!!!!! HAVE BEEN OUT OF BENEFITS FOR A MONTH...BY THE TIME THEY PASS THIS WILL I BE ON THE STREET WITH MY FAMILY??? C'MON, IF IT WAS THE GOVERNMENT HOW LONG WOULD IT TAKE TO PASS????????????? WE NEED ACTION!

This Is NUTS! I sure like to know, what they drive, what they are eating tonight, are they sleeping in bed not worrying about their bills getting paid, or if their someone in their family is going to bed hungry because of choices of electric or food.

They are plain selfish period, they only look out for their own. Tell me WHY they make so much money sitting around arguing instead of actually working? and they get paid for this?

PASS THE THING GEEZ!

I'm thrilled that it looks like this will finally get voted on. But, I'm totally pissed at both sides for playing politics for so long. I'm broke, had my heat and electricity shut off, and will probably ae evicted before I get my next check. The internet is great for getting info, which really helped me to learn a lot about the whole situation. The thing I learned the most about is that the politicians think we're ignorant about what they do. The days of misleading us with double-talk are over. Now, we have the ability to see their actions in real time. No more wool over the eyes. And, unfortunately, the truth is that the're ALL self serving, lazy liars! I'm just happy my desire to eat coincides with someones political aspirations!.

it's called an Emergency Unemployment Extension because -- it's an emergency... RIGHT NOW!

Shar of CA 5:45PM October 23, 2009

Since the extension was passed in the House on September 22, 224,000 Americans have exhausted their benefits, while the Republicans in the Senate stalled the vote and Harry Reid dragged his heels in getting the situation straightened out.

Health care reform is vitally important. But, if the Senate doesn't act now to help people through this recession, they'll have to make sure health care benefits extend to the homeless, for there will be many more of them.
