I can't believe you are using Valleywag as a source for a business blog. They are a badly sourced gossip rag which is more concerned with who is sleeping around in Silicon Valley. Also, since you quoted Tier 1's research, maybe you should have called them for some additional information, or just to confirm what you wrote? Hard to believe this comes from a senior editor at a well known magazine.

The Dallas outage was caused by multiple utility companies cutting power to protect rescue workers saving the truck drivers life, not the truck hitting the generators.
