Logical do you think... that everyone inside of a corporate office are millionaires? Wake up.
I was fortunate to survive the lay-offs however many of my close friends didn't. Now our work loads have to pick up their work and we lost their great expertise.
Maybe you don't see the repercussions since your a shopper. "Guest"... but on the stores side they lost their friends that they dealt with on a day to day basis.
Get your facts straight before you criticize "the little man".

Sorry to hear about your job loss,I am a team leader and have been with this great company for 16+. I have seen so many people come and go and am really sorry that our economy has got to the point of layoffs. We are also worried about the trickle effect,,I pray that will not happen to us as well as our Dtl,Stl or heaven forbid "Store Closing's!!" I get sick just thinking about it. But all we can do is wait....and for how long??????

There is no little man at Target. The target employees that were laid off in Arkansas work extremely hard for their blue collar wages. This is a horribl enconomy and I think it is terrible that someone would refer to them as little man wages. A job is a job and we all try to support our families. My husband works for target and I really feel sorry for the families in the layoff.

I work in the DC at Topeka Kansas T-3803. We just found out the news this morning and our prayer's and thoughts go out to you guys up north. We have not had any of our hours cut yet but they are offering VLE and NS like crazy. Good luck to all of you and again sorry to hear the bad news!

WELL IM REALLY CONCERN AND DONT FEEL HAPPY NO ONE WANTS TO LOOSE THEIR JOB IN THIS DAYS I WORK FOR TARGET AND I ALWAYS GIVE IT A 100% AND MORE U KNOW TO GROW IN THE COMPANY BUT THESE DAYS THE MORE U WORK AND EXPAND THE LESS U GET OT OF IT I WORKED REALLY CONCERN IN MY STATUS AND WORRIED BECAUSE IN MY STORE THEIR CUTTING HOURS AS IT IS AND NO MATTER HOW GOOD AND RESPONSIBLE U R WITH UR JOB UR GETTING PUNISHED I NOW TO KEEP MY JOB ( I ONLY MAKE 15,000 A YEAR) I HAVE TO CLOSE TWO DEPARTMENTS IN SIX HOURS!! ITS LIKE THEIR SLOGAN "EXPECT MORE....PAY LESS"" I SEND MY PRAYER FOR MY TARGET FAMILY THE ONES WHO GOT LAID OFF. THANKS AND GOD BLESS

Millions of dollars are spent on vendors that are hired to talk about how to make things better. Target lets India run on American funds. People are retained who have no clue what they are doing. There may be some worthless employees removed, but overall it is pure politics. The CEO is kept in the dark as to what truly would constitute shareholder value in a streamlined company. Let foolish decisions based on Machiavellian politics determine the fate of investment. If one did not know better, one would think internal agents at high levels and those who have deep roots, could care less about the success of a company and is hiding the incompetence that is becoming more and more apparent.

the hours have been cut in half and the work load has tripled.
maybe the ceo's need to tak $1.00 a year and help out the company

500 of logical's little men are out of job at the end of the year. Target is also closing one of it's distribution centers located in Little Rock Arkansas.
