Many Americans are wondering whether or not the U.S. economy is in recession. Most of America's chief financial officers aren't wondering anymore, according to a survey from Duke University and CFO magazine. In the poll, 54 percent said that the United States is now in a recession, and 24 percent said that there is a high likelihood that a recession will begin later this year. The survey, which asked questions to more than 1,000 CFOs, found that nearly 90 percent do not expect the economy to rebound until 2009. The quarterly survey has been around for six years, and this quarter was the most pessimistic yet.
