I don't know about that , some times hard to tell. In the curent environment, it's not often that business leaders can use their stauts as corporate executves to leverage public support. What is wrong with candidates that can creators jobs and develope possibility and bring Multibillion dollars business, with the experience and business background and not to be concern over the economy, current environment, political outsider, reflecting an antigovernment mood,? just to develope globla respond of quality and help to establish Communications to reach to the other side world. Probalbly those technologys and promises , politicians, can Enter more considerable experience in the corporates , wins an election with more support.

Look back over the past 40 years.
We spoke of Brown then we said "Flush it down
Duke came along and did nothing.
Wilson could not retain his Senate seat so he returned to Ca. and continued with the breakdown of the State
Davis came along and Deregulated Electricity - he was so stupid we had to decertify ("classical dumbell") him
Arnold stepped in, thought he could buy a Hummer and make everything right.
Now Brown will probably come back again. So the Brown did not get washed down afterall .
Ignorance is Bliss. All the above thought themselves Wise

If you need someone to complete the destruction of California, Queen Meg is the one for you. Can't believe any one would support this cold blooded witch who could not even bother to vote. Guess she figures why vote when you can buy an election. Brown is the intelligent, pragmatic choice. Try to take off your party blinders and listen to him for awhile.

jerry's the best. we've all seen him as governor and mayor of oakland. he's a politician with vision; i've admired his great ideas on the job. i don't trust whitman -- she's a new comer who didn't even bother to vote in the past; california is no start-up and no large corporation

you know, grow up already. It's character assassins like you and that nipit from CA that are obstacles to progress. Instead of attacking people, why don't you use your brain (if you have any left from being sun-dried here in CA) to address some of the problems?
Your comment is typical - and you are in ny? doing what? tossing pizza dough?

California is suffering from a disfunctional political system that is destroying the state. I doubt that anyone can turn it around. Poor Arnold tried.....and look what's happened.
CA is a leading indicator for where our nation is going.
I fear for our great nation!

Maybe you are one of the reasons california has gone downhill
Tom-tomof NY3:29PM March 17, 2010
I moved from NY to CA in 1995. And I have seen it gone downhill ever since.
Californians need to get out of the "politician" mentality. The comments from 3 people indicate that everyone wants to keep the status quo.
Is it beyond their comprehension that CA is an at-will employer and therefore, the non-productive leeches in politics could and should be fired?
It always boils down to party-affiliation. And that's why this state and the rest of the nation could not move forward.

Just what California needs...another Palin air-headed bimbo. CEO's can hire and fire at will. Governors/politicians cannot. They must find middle ground on both political sides to implement policy. This aged bimbo w/her slick/sick $$$$$$$ financed campaign thinks she can just buy her way into politics and, like Palin, has absolutely no knowledge of government/politics...but, hey, she's a female?
Nipitof CA1:26PM March 17, 2010
But the voters of California are voting for GOVERNOR, not CEO.
The LAST thing this state needs is someone to try and run the state like a business. It would be like trying to run a for-profit corporation like a non-profit. Different rules. Different operations. Different purposes.
This once magnificent state has been run into the ground by a string of GOP governors. We have LOTS of constitutional problems, chief among which is the insane 2/3 supermajority to get anything done and greedy Prop 13 so that people can live in this state without paying for it.
Not to mention an initiative process that has been hijacked by social and corporate wealthy special interests and you have a state of MESS.
If NOTHING else, Jerry Brown left this state in a far better state than it's in now. Meg Whitman looks like the kind of business person who would throw you out on your ear if she could take home a bigger paycheck.
