Jason, I read your networking tools with interest. We're a 40,000 member non-profit recreational boating community. We are offering all of our boating courses for sale to the public and we've never done that before. Secondarily, we want to recruit people that purchase our courses to our organization. (either on line members or regular brick and mortar members). We've made the determination to do social media; specifically Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and You Tube. I've established a monthly budget and set up the person (as part of the budget) to monitor the sites and responses.

I don't know how to move from the set up stage to setting a target. I know it has to be done and if this was a normal circumstance, no problem. Done that for years. But this is all new.

Our target is Gen X'ers. Ages 31-51. Two member family incomes with children. These people are not joiners so an internet membership might be preferable.79 million adults, 32% of all US adults, went boating in 2009.

I need to be able to set a sales and recruitment goal. Any help from anyone would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom

Glad it worked out for you. I'm currently working on www.cubecheck.com that will allow people to research the best company to work for and still trying to gain traction.

We have built our business and have grown with your advice! We are now able to save people money around America on all discounted baby products. This would not have been possible without your advice! Once again thank you, we are able to hold our own against various big named stores and beat their pricing. Zooblies.com thanks you!!!!

I have read your article and followed your advice. My page hits went from virtually none within weeks and then going the way of free advertising and word of mouth and even free business cards my business is up. It is allowing people to buy discounted baby products during tough economic times and see their pockets smile. Without your article the people would not know about this savings opportunity. Here at Zooblies.com, we thank you!!!

I'm just starting to investigate the option of turning blogging and affiliate bonuses unit real income. This is a very encouraging article. Thanks for sharing!

I'm trying to get my business boosted with my line of brand name baby products but it seems to be like I'm going in circles. I go to SEO websites offering the free service since I have a very low budget but that seems to make a minimal impact. They are going to the site but I have yet to have a steady flow of customers and I'm not ranked on any search engines. I need to get my name out there and keep it cost effective. I'm doing pamphlets and trying to add to blogs but it seems to make no impact. Granted I've had this site for a week but I'm also trying to figure out if my slow if no progress is normal for this type of internet business. Please let me know your thoughts.

I am trying to learn how to put myself out there to the business world and increase my sales. I work in the commercial collection arena. Do you have any suggestions that may help me out. I am also on LinkedIn but I never get anything on there. Maybe I don't understand how it works so any help how I can market myself on the internet without spending a fortune would be very helpful
