Q: Do unions use up-front, honest methods to convince workers to sign authorization cards? A: Sometimes. Sometimes not.

Q: Is a union forced to present only factual information during an election campaign? A: No. They can promise whatever they want, however outlandish. They can also personally attack and smear whomever they choose without any repercussion

Q: If I tell a union organizer to leave me alone, because I'm not interested in joining, can s/he come to my home? vandalize my car? A: Yes and Yes (seen it happen to coworkers of mine).

Q: So, then, does the EFCA just make it a cakewalk for a union to organize? A: Yes, because they can BS innoncent people about the card they're signing, and THEN be automatically recognized. Hell, an arbitrator will even draw up a contract for them, so there's no need to bargain in good faith.

I guess this is part of the "change" we've all been looking forward to, eh?

It’s amazing how groups which were and remain steadfast opponents of Unions and Workers are now claiming to be advocates of Workers by their opposition to the Employee Free Choice Act. It’s also amazing that the 60 million Workers who would join Unions if they could are never mentioned by these supposed supporters of Workers.

What is really amazing is how stupid these oppressors must think Workers are to believe - for even a moment - that the former are on the side of the latter.

The level of insane hair pulling and outright lying the right is formenting over this issue should be a reality check for the wingnuts.IT WHY YOU LOST. I own a small construction business and I not only support The Free Choice Act, but i want to see laws past that wil make it a CRIMINAL offense to hire Illegals. Hire an Illegal, face criminal prosecution. The hate and nauseating right wing rehtoric being spit out by the ditto head types should be punished, not rewarded. These people should be ashamed of themselves for their fake patriotism. Everything they stand for is anti-American.

For too long the middle class has been shrinking because the cost of living has increased 300% over the last 25 years, 79% of Americans make less than $50,000 a year, 49% of all workers make less than $500 a week. The top 300,000 Americans make more money than the bottom 150,000,000 Americans COMBINED.

Small Business should not be so scared of their workers having some say on how much they earn, ( unless your using ILLEGAL Mexicans like thousands of small businesses do unfortunately ) but here too, if your legal and you intend to take care of your people ( fair wage for a days work), that is all that people are looking for, unions give workers a voice and owners don't like it when the worker tells them they are being underpaid.

We hope that President Obama passes health care for all and small business will get tax breaks to help with costs.

We need unions, look what has happened to our economy when you have CEOs GONE WILD without tight government regulations. We are in a world of S%?T

There isn't anything fair about this act for business owners! If it was truly Free Choice, then give the risk takers (owners) the choice to say NO! It is delusionary to think that there will be a Win-Win between worker and employer with this.

The only parntership will be between union and the new union member - aka parasite and host. The only winners will be the lawyers. The direct losers will be the small business owners, who want to embrace the American Dream.

Business is brittle today compared to 30 years ago. Profits are thin. The average worker doesn't understand this because it is beyond their daily realm to deal with the decisions and problems of running a business.

It is usually the employees with NO skills that will play any card they can, be it blackmail, racial, sex, etc. And, with the growing dominance of workers that have a sense of entitlement, rather than earning their wage or position, this Act will enable this country to grow to yet a higher level of incompetence; as well as, inflation.

Look at how the Steel and Auto industries crippled itself over the past 20 years using the same mentality. Both heavily unionized, both heavy in wages and benefits. Unions fought for this, and then complained when American jobs were lost overseas.

The world is getting smaller every day. Business gets tougher every day, moreso with help from proposed laws like this. The only burial I see is a lot of people seeking the American Dream for the sake of the parasites and hosts.

Worker wages have not kept pace with growth in the economy for over a decade. Obviously, the workers need more leverage with their employers. Economic growth should not only be good for those at the top.

Unions are corporate cancer. They starve the life out of companies. This act scares me to death and makes me wonder if any Democrat in Washington cares at all about our future and that of our children.

Employees with modest skills may be tempted to blackmail very prosperous businesses with extrotionate pay demands.
