The message is clearly spreading. At a recent visit to Georgia Brown's, an upscale southern-style restaurant in Washington, D.C., Koch was stopped by a bartender on his way out. "Thank you for what you've done for American beer," he said, explaining that before Sam Adams, he had few quality domestic beers to recommend to customers.
To Koch, compliments don't come any better.
