Do any of the above mentioned states have any requirements that the Corp must be started by a Resident of said state; or can a non-us Resident also start a Corp in that state? A friend in Asia wants to form a US Corp for his new business, that's why I'm asking. Thanks.

I am an American living in Germany but I want to start my own small business. Does anyone know if I have to register it in America or Germany?

East Orlando is the hot spot. With the top schools like University of Central Florida which is a launching pad for major companies like Lochheed, Seimens and is the worlds 5th ranked in bio tech with the lead of the Burham Institute. Great access to the OIA, beaches, theme parks and more Employees can live, work and play. Orlando is growing with new business in the high tech corridor. Homes are selling a great prices and East Orlando schools are A rated along The Corridor. The ecomony is doing well as you see packed malls like Waterford Lakes and I-Drive outlet malls. There is alot going on in East Orlando check it out!

Florida should not even be on the list. EVERY business needs a license, and they actually arrest you if you run even the smallest business without one. There are no small car repair facilities allowed out of your garage. The regs and licensing to open one, under the guise of protecting the consumer, are insurmountable. Businesses in Florida are only for the rich and well connected. You need a license to walk around your neighborhood and cut lawns!

Depends where you are in FL. South FL = melting pot and very rude people. North FL is actually the, "south" and has a hint of southern hospitality. Much better than SoFla.

What about North Carolina? Anyone with opinions? Not even mentioned on the list.

Have to agree with Michelle here: Florida has the rudest people in America--all the flotsam that's floated down from NY and NJ--and a business air of criminality. Start your business somewhere else.

FL is the most dishonest place to work and or to have your own business. People spend more time trying to screw each other over financially than they do anything else. I would never start a business in FL it's to risky. Besides the people here are not nice they are the rudest, most hateful people anywhere and they treat each other like garbage on teh personal side and the business side. No one here is to be trusted! Whoever wrote this has clearly never been here to do business or to live.

And taxes or no taxes FL is very expensive to live in.
