Not to nitpick, but 16 BILLION Bytes = 16 GB...more than any home computer. The iPhone has 128 MB (1/128th of 16 BILLION bytes). You probably meant 16 GB of Flash storage.
Many phones will accept MicroSD cards, including SDHC (4 -16 GB with capacities ever increasing), so any of these phones could match [or exceed] the iPhone's storage capacity, and its not built-in making it more versatile and convenient.

Show me an iPhone that has a camera flash, how about pictures over 2MP, or that can allow a user to watch comedy central. Better yet, I would settle for an iPhone that could recieve and send multimedia messages or even record a video of a child's first step. The bottom line is that the iphone is severely over rated and while I don't think anyone argues that the mac OS is a great mobile platform and that iPhone software is great. However, dressing up horrible hardware with amazing software shows just how lacking the iPhone is. When Apple decides to use their full potential and release a 5MP iphone with video, mobile tv, and unrestricted messaging, then i will be onboard. Also a user removable battery would be nice.

Which phone sells more than 1 million units... in 1 weekend?
Which phone has more than 3 GPS methods? (Cell, satellite, wi-fi.)
Which phone gives you UNLIMITED data for under $30/month?
Which phone has more than 25,000 developers writing apps for it?
Which phone can I buy in more than 62 countries?
I thought so.
Don't get me wrong... I would *LOVE* to see 10 different companies making
phones that have all those features. I'm just not seeing them over the past
1-2 years. Maybe they'll get on the ball in 2009 or 2010????
(Of course... they will STILL be trying to play catch-up to the Iphone v3.0)
What are they waiting for???
There's a reason why we are seeing so many companies/phones that are desperately trying
to look like the iPhone: They are trying to *BE* the iPhone. (Or you can just, simply
buy the actual iPhone instead.)

It's the best. With all the Aps available and more coming daily plus a very stable environment nothing comes even close to the iphone.

Let's do the math. After Iphone 3G was announced, the price of these alternatives have reduced drastically over the past few months. Right now, you can get an LG Vu for free after rebate from places like Wirefly or Letstalk.com. And you can get cheaper all-you-can-eat data plan for $15 a month, compared to $30 for Iphone data plan. With two year contract, the difference is $200 + $15 * 24 + tax (depending on where you live), or upward of $600.
If you like to spend $600 more over two years, and like a fashion statement, then go with Iphone. But even that fashion statement will wear off quickly with everybody in the block jumping on the Iphone...

I love my Iphone. I have tried the others, but they are not as easy or inituitive as the Iphone. I have just signed up to get the IPhone 3G.
After having a Windows Moble phone previously, I wouldn't own another.
