This is quiet interesting. I have had a cell phone since 1995 and got it so my grandchildren could get ahold of me if they needed as their mother was working i was retired. Now everyone in the family has a cell phone, this one I have now is the 4th phone as it always has new things added. I now have it for my emergencies, if I fall, or if I need help with my laptop. Yes I am 83 years old now have fallen many times with replaced hips now. I take the phone with me to the hospital to keep in touch with family. My frieneds are all gone to a better place I hope. I carry it in my pocket or around my neck. Cell phones are a wonderful invention. Thanks for listening.

Is this plan still available??? What is the basic monthly plan

cost?

You missed the best deal of all! With Virgin Mobile you can get a free phone and pay as low as $5 per month (actually $15 every three months based on automatic recharging quarterly) (plus a few cents tax) for 25 minutes of nationwide calling (or 50 minutes if calling other Virgin Mobile phones) using their 20/10Talk plan. In addition, if you don't use all your minutes during the month, they keep rolling your excess minutes over to future months. Voice mail is also included in this rate. I doubt you can beat it for a senior who basically wants minimal cost service for emergencies.

a national scam. Why should I pay almost $4000 at Costco, the best buy I could find, for what are much simpler technology. I think the hearing aid industry is getting away with murder, because the manufacturers, the audiologists, the teaching professionals and the membership organizations like Hearing Loss Californian all belong to one organization--like circled wagons, keeping out any dialogue about price.

Even the need to insert tiny batteries, instead of offering overnight recharging devices are cruel.

And, of course, Medicare won't pay.
