Using What You Know About Coworkers' Pay

I think what glassdoor.com is doing is great! It's time that prospective employees learned a little more about the company they are interviewing for before committing to it. I have been in that situation where once hired, I had to ask a couple of people how they liked their jobs and the company. I wish I had the opportunity to have these questions answered before I even agreed to take on the job! In these times tough times of layoffs, wouldn’t it be nice to know if the company you are soliciting yourself to is having budget issues or isn’t planning on issuing any raises/promotions or bonuses anytime soon?
