I love what this article really talks about the needs of our generation, and how wellness coaching is reaching and filling a need.

I love the integration that Alisha Olivier at TranquilityRetreats.com uses. She was originally trained by Dr. Deepak Chopra and since then has studied and integrated many more ancient and modern modalities for wellness and natural healing knowing the body has great wisdom--worth looking into. She is also a part of The Soul of Yoga in Encinitas, CA

I have been oriented to a number of coaching trainings and systems and have found that the Circle of Life Coach Training through Health Action is Santa Barbara is the most powerful, easy to use, easy to explain and thorough -- especially when used in organizations and with groups. They have trained the Air Force and the YMCA. I am working with hospitals and social service agencies in PA. Their training followup is incredible. And the training itself is brief and very effective. Have a look at their website - http://CircleOfLife.net.

Wellness Coaching and Health Coaching are growth professions around the world and are exploding while defining itself. Dr. Michael Arloski's book "Wellness Coaching for Lasting Lifestyle Change" and his methodology the Wellness Mapping 360 Wellness Coach Model prepares participants with both the conceptual foundations but also the coaching skills as they apply to working within the health and wellness industry. His certification trainings provide structure, direction, useful tools, and personal guidance.

I am in the middle of training with the ILCT or Institute for LifeCoach Training to become a Coach. It has been very helpful in teaching both the professional skills of coaching and how to market myself to get my own clients. I chose this compay because they are one of the pioneers in the professional coach industry and the founder is on the board of the International Coach Federation which regulates the industry. You can find it at www.lifecoachtraining.com
good luck.

Hello. For 3 years I have been a consultant at Jenny Craig, where I am unofficially called "the therapist" by my clients, co-workers, and each of the rotating supervisors I've worked with/under. Have done training at Center for Motivation and Change and Albert Ellis Institute and am constantly looking for training, outside of my own reading and research, that someone with only a BA (as opposed to MA) in Psychology might have access to.
I am a single woman, 40's, that presents as warm and intelligent, and that must support herself financially. At the moment, I live in NYC.
Analysis, strategy, motivation, and working with people from all walks of life are my strengths. And dedication.
So...
I am reaching out to ask those that are very experienced, where is the very best place to work or get trained?
Or, what other thoughts or recommendations do you have for me?
Perhaps you know someone, or an organization or a practice, that might be willing to communicate with me...
Very much in need of knowledgeable help/guidance.
I

Most people don't realize how easy it is to have access to a Wellness Coach. Some people never make the effort to work with a Wellness Coach because it adds yet another "thing" for them to make time for.
I offer my clients the freedom and flexibility of email and phone coaching. A typical session will take place over the phone for about an hour, once a week. Unlimited email correspondence is then offered between call sessions. This has worked incredibly well for the busy parents and professionals who are limited with time but still want to make a difference in their lives.

I have been a wellness coach for my program Healthy Solutions for ten years.I started it when I realized that I could explain to people and even show people how to exercise and what to eat and it made little difference. Provocative, ongoing dialogue around habits, beliefs and emotional issues is the missing peice for most.
