It looks like being a hair stylist is a lot of work, but I know all the hair stylist work hard to make their costumers happy.

I want to make six figures a year is that possible as a hair stylist? some people don't feel comfortable admitting their salary but it would mean a lot to me if somebody could tell me. Also, which state is the best to work in? I would love to be one of the best of the bests, and do hair for celebs. Thanks. ;)

Hi the article is interesting and it help me in one of my clases at school i am in high school in my senior year and i want to be a hair stylist and i just want to know how many years do a have to take to be the best at my carer? as to be a stylist but i just want to be the best in waht i am doing.

@chris harris: i have also loved playing with peoples' hair all my life. i've been working in a hotel for 8 years and just couldn't see becoming a manager and being completely fulfilled. so i decidedly opened myself up to whatever the right thing is for me to do, and very quickly an opportunity arose to take a tour of a Paul Mitchell school. i've been going for 5 months now and LOVE it! we can't please everybody around us, and although i'm sure they mean well, they don't always know what's best. give yourself a quiet moment and if it's something you love give it a shot! and if there's a Paul Mitchell school nearby definately check it out-- they're awesome. good luck!!
