i think that working for a younger person is bad they have not that much experience and pretty much dont know what they are doing

never trust any bosses. As always the Darwin's principle apply for any one. :-).

Also i is my personal experience :- if your boss is acting to build a relationship with you and at work he keeps you away., that means it is just a big Drama he is playing. Basically he does not like you or from his past experiences, keeping the grudge on you like personalities he is trying to cut your tail.

He is trying to make play it on you by taking the opinions/suggestions that you have.Just be cautious of that, be smart and professional. Always learn , get good hands on, expertise on what you are doing and that will help for your better future. If you keep seeing this behavior then better you get out of that job. Because you are not far from being laid off. :-)

good luck.

capitalism creates opportunity. the motivated create fortunes. slaves and classes are created by communism, socialism, and feudalism. only with capitalism do you have any choice. it's pretty obvious what yours has been.

I have worked for younger bosses and I just treat them as anyone else in their position. Show them the respect the position deserves and LISTEN to what they want. It might be different than your experience tells you is right but they are the boss. If you have built a good working relationship they will welcome your input as long as it isn't negative. Remember you both are working to be successful and have your operation successful. Earn their respect and respect them.

The problem with this country is too many people point fingers instead of actually doing anything to improve the situation. However, this is a reult of capitalism. The motto of today is what's in it for me? In fact, this is the essence of capitalism. The basic idea is we compete to be top dog. So if I'm on top, then you are on bottom. This creates the classes. Somebody will always be in a lower class, and someone will always be in a higher class. So then the question is, "How do you treat the slaves?"

people are blaming different demographics as if it was one single person that created this mess, instead of working together to fix it. the 55 year old man might have gave the 20 year old that loan he should know won't be able to pay, but the 20 year old can count. if 5 minus 6 equals negative 1, don't take the loan. people are asking for way more than they make, and while banks should have oversight on that, the borrower needs to be more responsible. i have one credit card and i learned that it's not a magic money machine. you have to use restraint. and for those that say that welfare is crippling the country and most people just want a hand out, try stepping into their shoes for a second. a dollar won't get you what it did 10 years ago. hell, it won't get you what it did 2 years ago. the job market isn't adjusting to the increased cost of living, ensuring that folks will slip behind. if a college graduate is having trouble finding employment and having to resort to flipping burgers as a means to provide income, then the others that are falling short of that are struggling way more. The government can't let these folks starve, although there are some out there that would argue that it's a solution. Truthfully, folks are having more and more kids as time passes, overpopulating the world. There are more people than 200 years ago wandering the earth. Resources are diminishing every day. And people keep on f***ing. People are living longer, so we've gone from people barely living long enough to see their children grow up to people living to see the birth of their great-great grandchildren being born. This all plays a part, but the number one reason we're in trouble is because we can't come together as a people and support each other. It used to be common to shelter a wandering man from the rain and feeding him. Today we won't even throw a homeless man a penny that was gonna end up in the couch anyway. We forgot all that and now it's a race to the finish line, and every man for himself. but keep it up and there ain't gonna be a prize at the end.

you are as little slow huh?? i am 19 and have figured out the economic crisis. the problem is all these ppl drawing welfare i bet ya do too. rather than working they want everything handed to them rather than earning it that is y this country is going broke because only half of the ppl are actually working and paying taxes the rest are all just a burden on the American economy. wanting the gov't to feed them and their children because they are too lazy to get out and get a job. i'm 19 and more mature than you i bust my but making a living and i never get ahead but i have enough and i don't want a penny from the govt. because i still have something that may have gone out with all the baby boomers it's a little thing called pride.

BTW you stupid 55 years olds created the financial crisis, are borrowing from china like there is no tomorrow and handing over an America in crisis, much different from what your parents gave you. While we will fix things and restore the glory it is time for 55 years olds to shoot for the hills. Bury you head in sand and repent for all your mistakes in life. I am 36.

I am an older worker, and I have had a younger manager treat me as if I had created the reported problem. " I don't know what you are trying to do." We over 55yrs. would like to be accepted as having gained some knowledge over the years that the younger generation may never receive. Please don't just shut down communications, with such statements.( as above) When the younger manager ask us is everything ok and us oldies respond with a truthful answer; don't become stressed out because we gave you a truthful answer.

I just got let go from my job last Thursday and still don't know why. I am a mother of 3 children in which one of my kids has a medical condition that requires me to tend to more often than not. I worked 6hrs a day during the time my kids were in school. The six hours I was at work I did the best I can do at what I did and gave my 100%. I did more in those six hours than others did in 10hrs. Yet, I was let go. I called in on Thursday morning because my son was in the hospital and I got a call a couple of hours later on my voicemail that I was no longer needed. Now, my boss had 2 little ones of his own in which he had to come in later at times due to dr visits for his kids ect. He is the owners son...need I say more. Yes he has a college degree I give him that but he did not build this company from the ground up...his Daddy gave it to him. Many times I suggested ideas and gave my opinion on things but they were never taken into consideration. I believe when a boss is younger than you taking advice from someone older just makes them resent you because it might make them feel like you are belittling them in the contrary you are trying to help them. I always felt like it was a tug of war with him and I can never win. If anything I wanted to be heard but I think it went in one ear and out the other. I guess my point to all this is "PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH" I don't know if its because of his age or maybe a power thing or maybe both. Yes you are the boss but give people the respect they deserve and let their voices be heard. We can all learn from one another. Unfortunately when you think you have it all figured out and nobody else matters it will come back to bite you.
