Ditching the Office for the Outdoors

Congrats to you! Some things are priceless and I believe that if you do what you love, the money will follow. You have likely found other more pleasureable ways to connect and to get the things that you and your family needs. I was in a similar situation working for at a government job for over 12 years killing myself. Getting calls in the middle of the night and working without lunch and bathroom breaks....literally!

I enrolled in a school that helped me to get extremely healthy, connect to my inner self and define my passion, build business and marketing skills along with the confidence to step out on my own!

I made a mere $20/ hour and sometimes $30/hr with overtime but and after graduating from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, I started out making $50 per hour and that jumped to $130 and more by doing teleclasses online!

Interim times are challenging but often a great opportunity to see what you're made of! Kudos to you and everyone else who can step out of your box!

I'm sure you're loving life!

It's great! I have worked outside jobs since 1989. It was highway contruction and later Inspector for new housing construction. Now where do I go? I had my own company for 13 years. Now I don't want the stress.

that there is much more mind-liberating honesty in physically cleaning things up than there was in telling half-truths to everybody all the time as would be REQUIRED behavior in the executive recruiting business. Of course that is appealing.

Maybe Hawaii or San Diego would fit his description of the ideal place to work outside. If you live in the SouthEast the humidity and mosquitoes are brutal!!

"Nothing like working outside in the summertime"... unless you live anywhere south of the Mason-Dixon in which case there is...hell.

If you've always loved painting, become a house painter.
