Since unemployment is much higher for teenagers, high school graduates, younger minorities, and the undereducated, jobs at McDonald's or similar entry level jobs can go a long way towards giving people work experience and maybe inspiring them to bigger and better things.

many of these jobs are around minimum wage or slightly higher which is not enough for people to live on. McDonald's is suppose to higher up to 50,000 people this month and we know (or should know) how much they pay!
Until there are jobs being offered that can really support families without the parents having to work two jobs each, there isn't much to celebrate.
