Spelling mistakes and grammatical errors happen to everyone, but for them to happen on a resume, cover letter, work sample, or a thank-you note is inexcusable. It conveys to an eagle-eyed hiring manager that you could be just as careless with work correspondence as you are with job-seeking correspondence.
