Joan Davis, president of PANGEATWO recruiting and consulting firm in Birmingham, Ala., says you should never put a phrase like this on your résumé, as it should be a given. “It’s stating what should be obvious,” she says. “Saying you’re a hard worker is like saying ‘I’m ethical’ or ‘I’m seeking employment.’ If you’re not a hard worker, then [employers] shouldn’t even be considering your résumé.”
