I used layaway express this summer and this christmas all my packages came on time with tracking numbers and my wife is so happy there is a service out there like this she shopped at amazon and walmart and target all at once. Now I would say thats one stop shopping. And there was no layaway fee. We tryed walmart and there fee was really to high and walmart well there only giving you until dec 14 to get my layaway out so I asked what happens to the money when I need more time and maybe past christmas and walmart said I don't know. Then best buy there fees was really. Over all LAYAWAY EXPRESS has been number one for me and my family.

I just found this site 3 months ago called layaway express and I was scared about using it because never heard of the before. But talked to several people at customer service and they were so friendly. I decided to order a powerwheel cop charger and now I can't wait for my son to open his gift. I just got the powerwheel yesterday and it is awesome and very quick shipping. The item is brand new still in the box. layaway express I will order from you again. I did have to call customer service to understand how to buy something thats not on the site but they added the products while I was on the phone and walked me through the process.

Are these stores stupid or do they think that customers are?

They keep your money for several weeks, PLUS some "fee" and use it to gain interest then they give you an item that is on the shelf anyway!

Why don't you put same money in the box, and then buy what you want? Guess what, you can charge yourself $5 "fee" too!

As most retailers do, infact, have a small service fee that is charged to

extend the layaway offer to you; some store are charging exuberant fees in addition to the orginal layed away product. Lets take Besbuy for example, if you make a purchase you will be charged a 5% layaway fee, so if you layaway a $500 item you will be charged a layaway fee of $25 and the item must be paid off in 6 bi-weekly installments. If we calculate the fee as a hypothetical interest payment/penalty, the $500 is extended to you at a 245% interest rate annually. This is as predatory as payday loans, So when and if you do decide to purchase using these programs, do the math as it may be more benificial to save the money and make the purchase at one time.

Wal*Mart doesn't care about the lower incomed families that they adversite to care so much about. I don't even shop at Wal*Mart anymore than to purchase food really. I use to layaway at Wal*Mart but now I layaway at Kmart and Sears. Wal*Mart has gotten to big now for their draws, they have ruide associates and etc.. My husband and I were in the store trying to buy some perfume. I walked over to customer service five times asking them to send an associate over to help us, it took forever, and finally when the person did walk over they had an attitude. We'll go to Walgreen's before we buy perfume from Wal*Mart again. I'm slowing coming to dislike Wal*Mart and it use to be my favorite store.

Last year my husband and I opted on layaway at Kmart for

Christmas. As a family tight on cash, this allowed the money to be "saved" without having easy access to it. It also allows the peace of mind knowing you are done shopping, you just have to pick it up. We timed our initial purcahse to coincide with a week before Christmas. It saved space not having all the presents at my home until right before the holiday!
