toys that teach and are fun not only keep kid engaged, but keep them thinking! We need to teach kids how to think: not what to think. If kids engage in thinking, then they grow into adulthood engaged in thinking. Way to go!! Keep thinking because the time for thinkers has come.

Since the brain develops based primarily on experiences, it is heartwarming to see articles like this. A brain develops best through "hands-on" play, and positive interaction with other people. The inexpensive toys named in this article sound like very good suggestions that will support many aspects of brain development.
It is my passion to make early brain development common knowledge. So it is wonderful to see toys like this promoted with an explanation of how they are beneficial. In the work I do, I state that brain development isn't about pushing children to learn more at young ages or having fancy toys. Gifts do not need to be expensive. What the brain needs most is loving interactions and play in everyday life!
