Many people comes to Santa Monica to visit the beautiful beaches, good weather, and great shopping; but one of the best parts of Santa Monica is their love for dogs. Santa Monica is a very pet friendly place to live and they have a huge dog park where your dogs can run and play freely, here are some pictures:
It is pretty easy to find rentals in Santa Monica that allow dogs as well, here is a link: www.SantaMonicaWestsideDreamHomes.com
You do need a license in Santa Monica for your pet, but the fee is very cheap.

whatever you do, if you are a dog lover, dont live in scottsbluff, nebraska. people here are the kind of people that say "its just a dog" and dont care if your neighbor shoots and kills your dog for no reason.

I cannot believe that Colorado Springs is no where on the list. We have very mild weather, meadow and mountain trails, and an awesome dog park at Bear Creek Park. My Italian Greyhound is welcome in every store in Manitou, Old Colorado City and downtown Colorado Springs, including outdoor sections of any resturant I've visited. Sure the few icy-cold days of the winter make it hard for my Iggy to enjoy downtown or the park, but I thoroughly enjoy taking my mini greyhound all over the city, and so do most people who meet her on the street or in the stores.

I live on Long Island and I've got to say you're out of your mind if you think rocky point is a good place for dogs to live. In fact most of the worst animal shelters I've been to in my life are in Rocky Point and the surrounding area. Only nice thing about rocky point is that you can travel to nice areas easily as it's right in between the north and south forks giving you a 40min to everywhere kind of feel.

As a connoisseur of all things pets, it didn’t take long for Animal Fair’s fabulous founder Wendy Diamond to realize that there aren’t enough opportunities to party with our pets. That’s why Wendy created Yappy Hour®, the first-ever benefit where people and pets can celebrate and raise money for homeless animals while seeking puppy love.

Ellicott City, Md. is the beautiful place to live for pet lovers.
Located 25 minutes from Baltimore, which has a surplus of animals in shelters in need of homes, this town offers almost 4 square miles of green space. Since measurable precipitation falls on only one out of every three days and the average high temperature in July is 85 degrees, the relatively mild weather makes it easy to walk dogs outside. http://www.beachresorts360.net/

Although not employed with HRS at all, just a little note that a great year-end donation to HRS might be very much appreciated...

Hop to it, because bunnies don't get as much PR in the media as cats and dogs.
P.S. Click on the link titled "Show me a bunny!" for a good laugh (or smile). These little animals are just amazingly cute that it's a wonder as to why some throw them out to fend for themselves, sometimes. Uneducated rabbit owners clearly should not get one in the first place. Think before adopting, but if willing to do so, they are sooooooooooooo cute. Twitch twitch hop hop cute.

Thank you so much for promoting bunnies, as well as cats and dogs.
Everyone knows about doggies and kitties, but domestic rabbits (not to be confused with the wild rabbits in suburban backyards) are the third most surrendered pets to the shelters, yet get very little PR to help them out.
Thanks so much for promoting The House Rabbit Society on the site. They do excellent work on behalf of these fluffy-tailed, twitchy-nosed little cuties.
They're not for everyone (they require special care and understanding, due to their unique psychology as prey animals), but if willing to commit to education and time needed to be sure the bunny gets playtime and exercise outside of a confined area, daily, they can be an excellent choice for some. They are quieter than cats and dogs, but they are LITTER BOX TRAINABLE (thumbs up on that).
Kudos, again to US News for promoting the bunnies.
