To save on holiday shopping, I have been using www.onewayshopping.com. I like the fact they have "product of the day" feature that shows items with the best price overall.

I'm always amazed at what they have on those shelves. Trust me, it goes beyond the stocking stuffer and straight for the tree. Check out their candles, crafts, and other oddball items, including fancy foodstuffs. Just don't be shocked when it's $1.99 or $2.99 -- they don't call it the 99-cent store for nuthin'.
NICE WORK, BECCA!

instead of going too places like JCPenny, or Fashion Bug, try thrift stores or target. at thrift stores you can get really good clothes in pretty good shape some times, i even found one with the tag still on it! but its a good place to buy cheap but nice clothes, and if u want it to be new, then target or wal-mart is a good place to look. i hope this help u!!

buying something kinda blank (like maybe a box too put stuff in, or a mini jewlery box, if u have a lot of girls) in bulk, and then paint them or decorate them differently too fit your kids personality. it works great for me!

Lots of excellent tips here, which is an indication that people are indeed looking to save more than usual.
I think from all that has been going on, this bargain hunting and money saving trend really started just over a year ago. I suppose that's good for us as a nation in the long run to not spending more than necessary.
Still though, there are ways to spend "smart" without giving up quality in the process. There is the total cost of ownership in the long run versus the up-front saving on expenses (which is why some people buy Toyota vehicles, which tend to be more expensive upfront but supposedly more reliable and therefore save money in the long run.
One of the sites I visit on a daily basis to get my "daily dose" of bargain hunting is:
http://www.uberi.com
Maybe someone will find it useful too. While you are there, I would suggest checking out the "Amazon Filler Item" and the "Amazon Discount Table" among other things there when you get a chance. It's quite amusing.

To save money shopping online I like using price alert sites. I've already made a list of the gifts i'm buying for my family at ZingSale.com, and now i get an email when any of them go on sale.
