Use the clothes line outside for drying clothes. The hot summer sun can dry your clothes faster than the dryer and save you lots of money on electric bills. Also, unplug the dryer and let it stay that way.
Simple to make a clothes line.
Go to Wal-Mart and buy some plastic clothesline. Use posts to set up the line or wrap around trees that have an area where the sun comes in. A simple breeze can dry clothes while the clothes line is wrapped around the trees without direct sun.

Yes, you need a furnace filter, otherwise dirt will get into your furnace and eventually mess it up. Myself, I prefer the cheapest "pleated" filter I can find, and change it after 2-3 months.

I keep a gallon milk jug near the sink. When I need hot water for something, I catch the water in the jug while it heats up and then use that water for plants. It saves it from going down the drain and then I don't have to wait to fill up the jug, it's ready to go when my plants are thirsty.

When you go to turn on the water in the kitchen or restrooms which hand do you use. Most of us use the left and turn on the hot water. Why? If we all turned on the cold, we would save our hot water heater a little bit of work, and that small amount of hot water we use because of our left hand has to be sent in to the hot water heater again. More electricity and water heater turning on for maybe not even a gallon of water.

THESE DEVICES YOU HOOK DIRECTLY TO YOUR BREAKER {FUSE} BOXES SAVE QUITE A BIT OF MONEY. THEY ALSO PROTECT YOUR PRODUCTS FROM SURGE DAMAGE AND REDUCE THE ENERGY IT TAKES FOR THAT PARTICULAR DEVICE TO OPERATE AT MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY. THEY ARE USUALLY $250-$500 AND THE COST IS USUALLY RECOUPED WITHIN MONTHS.
