I've wondered why they didn't target the convention marked and similar with Polaroid film. I've worked with a number of small conventions that needed an inexpensive way to badge attendees. I can picture a Polaroid sticker (remember those? They were half the size needed, but how hard to enlarge?) and a paper backer that you tuck into a pocket. And i'm sure conventions aren't the only ones who could use a cheap and quick badge solution.

The same year I scoffed at a digital camera after using one for the first time, 1999, I started making a daily self portrait using Polaroid film. I decided to continue for 10 years (and one day), 3,654 consecutive days. See video, http://youtu.be/hfChFFwbWIw . I felt very smug for a while when I had acquired enough film to complete the decade after Polaroid announced it would cease production in 2009, but am delighted they are restarting and continuing. It's true that we crave material things, even more so in this ever digitizing age.
