Baked chicken nuggets: Cut raw chicken pieces into bite-size pieces. In a plastic bag, crush cornflakes and add paprika, herb seasoning, and garlic and onion powder. Add the chicken and shake the bag until the chicken pieces are fully coated. Place on a baking sheet and put into a preheated oven for 12 to 14 minutes at 400 degrees.

Praise the added carbs, really! some of those prepared dishes sound disgusting and not so healthy for diabetics or anyone else.

Such great and easy to do tips! We are a green family and eat lots of whole fresh foods while minimizing the processed stuff as much as possible! I love that you say to build your meals around the grains and fruits/veggies because that's what we do in our home! We like to have mostly fruits, vegetables and whole grains like Kamut Wheat, quinoa and wild rice with a smaller portion of meat to go with. Our kids even love it and we also drink only water...healthy and saves money!
