My wife reciencly passed away, and I plan on traveling extensively, 8 to 10 months per year, in my RV. Where is the best place to set up a mail box to receive my mail, as I will be living in my RV with no permanent property?

Isn't it sad that seniors who own a nice home in one place must relocate to get out of their nice home for a cheaper place to live just to avoid high tax? We need a great man to fix this ridiculous problem.

I was surprised to see Sioux Falls, South Dakota in the list of best places to retire. I have lived here all my life and am to the point of wanting to live where the weather is a bit warmer. Nevada ir texas sounds good to me. My son says Florida. Most of my family wants to go where it is warmer. Right now we are in for some mighty cold weather and a blizzard.

OK, I just wanted to see Long Island New York posted in an article like this ... LOL, the only time you ever will.... High Taxes, failing education system, Spanish is becoming the first language, and the cops are scared to do their job because every punk kid and junkie has a lawyer on speed dial.

You may want to try So. Carolina. They did away with school taxes by raising the sales tax to 6%. The most sales tax you pay for a car is $300 and that includes all cars. The only catch is that you pay a Personal Income tax based on the value of your car each year when you renew the registration. The tax diminishes each year. The Personal Income tax is tax deductible, so you can claim it as s deduction. Houses are reasonably priced. You can get a nice size home for $150 - $300K. Real Estate taxes are cheap. I pay less than $1,000 on a home valued at $175K. I will be retiring there in about 2 years.

Unfortunately, just when you think you've found a low-tax place to live, the teachers' unions move in. They seek to live high on the hog from the day they arrive on the job until they and their immediate families have all passed away. We live in a seriously depressed area here in Iowa, and the legislators who are teachers or have children who are teachers are trying to push through legislation to give the unions more rights and the public employees more money. They use quality education "for the children" as an excuse. Everyone with an IQ over 85 knows that what happens at home is what makes the student.

What about Inheritance or Estate Tax list for all fifty states?

You are so right! As soon the planned development appeared it was over.We live in Orlando and are counting the years to move. The northeners came in droves, because they loved the place. Now they ruined it,because they wanted it to be like up north. Why did'nt they stay "up north?"
