I was disappointed that I never found the 8 Funds to watch for 2011 article. I tried several different approaches within this link.

However, even before attempting to access the article, the title presents another question, when to buy? Watching is easy, buying and/or selling, as addressed in one of your other articles is much harder task to master(profitablly).

While most of the above might be a generic best of category based on "Money Personal Finance", is the above suited to all investors?

To better understand how the top 50 funds ultimately fit your personal requirements, you would need an engine that could take into account all the attributes of a fund as well as your personal needs and requirements.

The only site that has an engine that can do exactly this is www.jemstep.com

An independent and personal ranking engine that appeals to all types of users.

Jemstep.com launches its application 3rd June.

Have a look and decide not only which fund is right for you but also which investment house / institution houses the right funds.

A good one to mention would have been Dodge & Cox Stock Fund. This one has consistent growth, not to mention a top-notch management. It's very well-balanced. I constructed a simple Excel model demonstrating the effects of fees on ones returns, and used the Dodge & Cox fund as an example.
