Everything costing more everyday and not getting a raise. It is getting very hard to pay my mortgage. No groceries this week.

Mr. M of NV,

I completely agree with you. I'm sick as hell thinking about it. I paid 354k for my house and I have no trouble making the payments. But crap, I put 50k down and have paid out 79,524.00 in payments since I bought it and it's now worth at least 50k less than i owe on it. I feel like I'm just flushing my future down the toilet. I haven't reached it yet, but I do have a breaking point at which I will not continue to bleed this way.

The most frustrating thing about all of the reading I'm doing is that I can't find anything on the following:

I purchased my home in October 2007 at what I thought to be a fantastic price. The builder was offering a $70k incentive and I noticed most of the homeowners paid in the mid to high $300's. I ended up picking mine up for $293 so I thought I was making a smart decision. I qualified for a 6.25% FHA fixed rate loan for 30yrs.

Now, just over two years later my neighbors are buying their homes for $140,000 from short sales. So the same banks that got me in at $293 are allowing the one's that bought for mid to high $300's out of their loans with accepting short sales.

I feel like an idiot that I'm making payments and trying to do the right thing while all these new home owners are buying the same exact style house next to me for so much less.

I have a good job and can afford my payment but it's sickening that others are bailed out and helped out by the all mighty friendly government while I'm doing everything right and getting clubbed by them.

Anyway, Thanks for allowing me to vent. I feel better.

What about people who just stop paying their mortgage even though

they can afford it but hope they can get a low interest rate from their bank ?

If it makes us feel better, than by all means let it out. Fill up as many pages as possible with all our struggles. Read everyone elses problems and know your not alone. Hopefully we'll get through this with time and our faith. So all I can say is thanks to this site for saving me the money i would have spent on therapy. Good luck everyone.

All of you please wake up, I tried to get help from JPMorgan Chase bank and gave me the runaround becuase I am current on my payments but I pay over way over the 31% of my gross.

They will try go force the dollar to devalue and make it difficult to recover before introducing the Amero.

Again do your research...

We had a HELOC with WaMu, WaMu failed and JP Morgan "bought" all of WaMu's assets for 2/3 rds of a cent on the dollar. They bought my 80k loan for 650$ Why could'nt I buy my loan? For that matter why can't we all buy our mortgages for the same price JP Morgan paid. I need a break before I go "postal"
