You are not doing your research. After living in more than seven or eight states over the past 40 years I live in the "Q" now and it is not a great place to be at all. It is expensive, everything is high here in relation to the income. The education system should just be a pre-penal system, the public schools here are pathetic. The violent crime here is like a status symbol, its like living on an island of Klingons, We must fight!!" A domestic violence arrest and unpaid child support is an aphrodesiac to the local women. Being a stripper is a "Career Move," in these parts and try finding a woman without a slew of kids, good luck! The area is beautiful, there are alot of outdoor activities, however staying in the city you are either going to a casino or downtown where the cops are out to provoke any type of excuse to exert necessary force. There are a few other night spots that are great but I promise you, Albuquerque is not a great place to live!!

Albuquerque NM has one of the worst crime rates in the entire country!! The school system is deplorable, and ranks almost at the very bottom of the national rankings. We fled Albuquerque after living there for many years, because it was no longer a safe place to raise a family, let alone provide an education for our children. I can't believe you recommend it as a "Best Place to Live"!!! Try looking up one of the local news websites, and read some articles for a while, and then ask yourself if you would ever consider moving there. I can guarantee that the answer would be a resounding NO!!
