"Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me.

I lift my lamp beside the golden door."

IS THERE NOOOOO "SHAME"!!!???

Right now it only takes a score of 620 to qualify and score of 670 or above to qualify for a the best interest rate. I'm a first time home buyer just getting ready to purchase my first home. My credit score is somwhere between 670 and 700. I qualify for my first home loan. However, I don't know where you were getting the figure that a morgage payment would only be 235.00 a month. They may be the interest, and/or property taxes but certainly not the morgage total. I qualify with no down payment since I'm a first time home buyer. I can pay 3% and lower my monthly payments but pay more up front. I can also choose no down payment and pay slightly more per month. It's a great time to buy. I'm very excited at the prospect of owning my first home. It'll increase my rent slightly and then there's home maintence. But as someone said, it's money in the bank. It's a forced savings account. Well, well worth every penny.

i dont think your credit score should matter much when buying a home .you have yo live somewhere if your income is enough , you should be able to get the house , renters have to pay rent ,utilities ins, buyers pay morgage utilities, ins, property tax, i hate paying my land lords morgage, but i have a bad credit score, so instead of paying 235.00 a month morgage payment i have to pay out 600.00 a month. i have a pension of 661.00 a month if i payed 235.00 per month for a morgage id still have enough to pay all the other bill too,. but bank are greedy they want to know you have enough money so they can steal you blind . they have on their books homes that need a little fixing up, they wont let me buy them for 27,000 cause my credit is poor but they will sell them to a rich inv, who does cosmetic work on it then rents it out for 800.00 to 1000.00 dollars a month so who is obama sharing the wealth with other rich people. it m,akes no difference who you vote for its allways hail to rich to hell with the working class , when are we going to stand up for our selves and demand what is rightfully or as BORN AMERICANS ,the jobs, the land, the rights here belong to us. i want my own house, my husband served in viet nam, i cant even use va morgage cause he wasnt killed in battle, we didnt use befor he died , we tryed but home were too expensive then. so now i get to live below poverty level, even though i took care of allen for 3years till he died thank god we dont have children. none of the ass holes in wash, care about us its hooray for crooks on walll street and the banks. no respect for is i wonder where theyed be if all the working class in america had cross the us a giant wild cat strike, the fat cats would go crazy .no body the scrub their filth, no body to kiss their asses , no body to do nancy pelosis hair ,she'd finaly look like the b she is. im voting for sharon angle , and if she doesnt listen to us then she's fired too

You do not need a 700 score to qualify. For conventional financing ( regular loans with a down payment) you need a score usually above 680, possibly 700. But with an FHA oan (government loan for owner occupied properties with only 3.5% down payment) you need a much lower score. Often times, the lender will allow for the computer program they run the loan through to tell them what score will fly based on your income, assets and other strengths. Talk with a lender, they can get you qualified based on your situation.

We are still in need of the 8,000 tax credit for 2010. The largest amount of people have had credit problems due to the job losses and the unemployment rate. The people that need the credit the most are the ones who needed time to straighten out their credit. Will a extension be done again the year ? This would keep the housing market flowing.

I heard that you have to have at least a 700 credit score. Is this true? I haven't even tried since hearing this.... I always thought that a great score would be at least a 825 or so but someone said now a day a 700 is considered good.
