You might have to keep the noise to a minimum if you’re throwing a party in Boston. A proposed ordinance would rule that if police are called to a loud, “unruly” scene, they can issue residents a $100 fine for a first offense. The fine would also be given to the property owners, unless they can prove they were trying to reduce the noise.
