Many people who get coverage on the state exchanges will be eligible for tax credits on their premiums and, in some cases, can receive subsidies that help pay for insurance deductibles, co-pays and other expenses. The size of the subsidy will depend on household income and family size; support payments are offered only if eligible purchasers buy a silver insurance plan.
