Are there any pension plans in the trucking/logistic industries? If so which company would have such benefits?

Talk to an agent of an insurance company and they can provide you possible options for retirement if you do not currently have a retirement plan. It seems to be a chronic problem growing in the United States of unprepared baby boomers headed for retirement and just no where near ready for it. Speak to an advisor of some sort, whether it be an insurance agent, financial advisor, or some other retirement planner. Seek help from a good private company quick, e.g. - New York Life, Mass Mutual, Northwestern Mutual, etc...

I was on the Culligan web site looking for a water filter and decided to look at the open jobs.

In the US, they list among the benefits, Health Insurance, and a 401K.

In Canada they don't offer health, but offer a traditional retirement plan and a 401K.

Of course, everyone in Canada has health insurance.

My advise? Move to Canada as fast as you can. And I'm serious.

how do i get a list of the private companies that ARE still offering pensions so I can target my job search around this... I have tried calling the Pension administrators from my past company thinking that list would be their prospect list, but no luck talking to them. thanks

This helped me so much in writing a research paper. Do you know the rate in which the pension plans are decreasing?

First time I've heard that! Your probably unemployed and receiving your governments share.
