I live in NH and I think the unemployment stat is crap. Everyone I know that lives in NH actually works in Mass. That seems like cheating, don't you think. If you can live on a part time job at $7 an hour this is the place to be.

Well, I just saw the news that SeniorsSinlgeDating is the best and most effective senior dating site for senior singles over 50! Many of our members are well-educated, successful, and fresh in mind.

Keep in mind that the factors that affect MARRIED COUPLES WITH OR WITHOUT CHLDREN OR OTHER DEPENDENTS LIVING WITH THEM and affecting those persons who are intent on being HOMEOWNERS (whether single-family homes or condos) are different than the factors to be considered by a SINGLE, NEVER MARRIED PERSON WITH NO CHILDREN OR OTHER DEPENDENTS who is intent on RENTING AN APARTMENT (rather than owning a single-family home or condo). These are three different types of classes of people with different factors to consider (as to what is important to them): married couples with children or other dependents, empty nester couples, and single persons with no children or dependents. For instance, an individual looking to rent an apartment is not going to be concerned with what property taxes are in a geographic locale.

The top 9 states are up North! Who wants to freeze and shovel snow when your old! Where is the best warm climate country to live in? How do I get my Visa?

Couldn't agree more with Wyoming's rating. Great place to retire! http://sothebysjacksonhole.wordpress.com/

The article included a link to a list of all states and how they scored...read the article and focus on the few sentences above the first state shown in the article.

I can't say it any better than Trish. I'd pay for the whole list.

So if all the states were done, and we don't like any of the top 5, what about the next 10, 20 and 35/6 places out of the 51 - clearly the survey statistics were gathered on the whole country.

Why not provide the full story so we can all assess our relative situation.
