As long as you are renting in retirement have at Georgetown, TX... Been there, done that and Williamson County will kill you in property taxes. Paid close to 4K/yr for 5acres/house. Rock and cactus land that wont grow grass goes for 8-10K/acre. Dont want any land-rushers here, but in Oklahoma I pay 1,200/yr for 60acre ranch/house...the schools dont need a choice of 6-8 fast food restaurants to feed your children....when I was in school, you went thru the lunch line and were fed what they put on your tray, I think we turned out just fine, but if you enjoy the high taxes move on in!!

I am very impressed with the links you have provided. I will pass the word on my blog.

We reinvented our life when we bought an RV and traveled for 6 months for several years and then bought in Tucson AZ. While Tucson is not a upper end city city, it does have a small town feel. Communities of retirees have gathered in 55+ RV resorts and planned modular communities. We have come to love it here.
